Allotments
During my 30s and 40s my career took me around the country and in every area I’d put my name down on the allotment waiting list. I was offered an allotment in Manchester but I had already moved to London at that point. Here is a list of my allotments throughout the years… …an interesting note is my plot at Trewsbury Road Allotments. After many years I decided to give it up and when I reapplied to the council around 6 years later the only plot available turned out to be exactly the same plot I had worked many years earlier.

After my first period at Trewsbury Road I went through a few years of searching for something, but looking for nothing. Maybe what I was searching for is what I have now, in 2025, an area of land where I can do what I like without a committee looking over my shoulder but to still retain a good social side.
