An interesting meeting was convened at the Ninian Stuart Club, Treherbert, on Tuesday evening by the local Vounteer Training Corps to finally decide the question of uniforms. We shall see them fully equipped in the near future.

Eleanor Street
At the bottom of Eleanor Street was the Welcome Inn Hotel, now a car park. During the 1980s you could still see the tiled floor amongst the rubble. Notice the tiled floor of the old public house on the left, now a car park for Eleanor Street residents.

Gaiety Cinema
Situated at the corner of Bute Street and Crichton Street. It was open by October 1914. In 1931 it was owned by Treherbert Cinema Syndicate. The stage was 15ft deep x 26ft wide but only had one dressing room. It had 559 seats but this was reduced to 500 by …
