An old man, 71 years of age, by the name of Fisher, living near the Pentre Colliery, was charged with stealing a quantity of coal from the rubbish trams on the Pentre tip. The Stipendiary expressed surprise that a respectable man of his age should be guilty of such practices. He would be bound over to come up for judgment when called upon.
Richard Morgan, Treherbert, was charged with stealing coal from a coal tip at Treherbert. Fined 10s. John Phillips and Thomas Thomas, Clydach Vale, were charged with stealing timber from the Cambrian Colliery, Clydach Vale. Fined 15s each.
