At Ystrad Police Court on Monday (before the Stipendiary) Richard Tinsley, a lad, was charged on remand with wounding. The evidence of Mr Warburton, surgeon, was given last week. Richard Jenkins, smith, Blaencwm, said on the 3rd of August, about four o’clock in the morning, he was clearing out his fire, and threw the burning cinders behind the forge. Defendant was lying there, but he did not know it, and the hot coals went on him, some of them going down his neck. The lad snatched up a piece of iron and threw it at complainant, inflicting a wound on his forehead. A fine of 20s was imposed.
