The Calathea lancifolia is known for its particular needs, but with a little extra attention, you can keep this beauty flourishing:
- Light: Bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid harsh, direct sun which can scorch the leaves.
- Water: Water consistently when the top inch of soil dries out. Don’t let it sit in soggy soil, as this can lead to root rot. Use filtered or rainwater whenever possible to avoid brown leaf edges.
- Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity. Regular misting, a pebble tray filled with water, or a humidifier are all helpful. Grouping your Calathea lancifolia with other humidity-loving plants can also create a beneficial microclimate.
- Toxicity: Non-toxic to pets and humans.
