On Sunday June 30, 2019 from 10am until 5pm in the picturesque town of Faversham, Kent, is the annual Open Gardens and Garden Market event, note the market closes at 4pm.
The largest Open Gardens in the south-east, a variety of private gardens will be opening including sculpture, wildlife, waterside, walled, courtyard, formal and urban meadow along with a variety of community, charity and allotment gardens. Many of the gardens will be serving teas and several will have a children’s competition. They are all within walking distance of the town’s attractive central conservation area and Market Place and the brochure ticket contains a well designed map.
In the central Market Place will be a popular garden market where a large number of stalls will be selling plants, food and other garden related items. Faversham has some 500 handsome listed buildings dating back to medieval, Elizabethan and Georgian times.
There will be plants for sale and the cost of a ticket to visit all gardens is £6 per adults (£10 for two). All proceeds to the Faversham Society. Tickets available in advance from end of May from the Fleur de Lis Heritage Centre, Preston Street, and on the day from our Market stall in Market Place.
