Feed Bumblebees during Winter

On rare Winter sunny days you may see the occasional bumblebee sitting around. Larger bumblebees are known as the Queens and come out of hibernation earlier than their male counterparts. Give her a helping hand by supplying nectar. If you have any flowers in bloom gently place her on the flower.

Make your own nectar

You can make your own nectar solution by mixing together white granulated sugar and rain water at a ratio of 50:50. Place in a shallow saucer with a few pebbles or stones in a sunny position.
