Livestream 24/7

The road to get a livestream on the homestead has been a long one. Here is a list of the equipment that is needed. I looked at various narrowboat channels who are doing the same and modelled mine on their layout. The camera connects directly to YouTube via the internal software.

CAMERA

Hikvision DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL (2.8 mm) (C) Turret Surveillance Camera with 8 Megapixels.

Setting up the software was a nightmare and Hikvision don’t offer customer support. I found the answers through various online forums but the whole process of downloading and updating the software took 3 weeks.

LEAD

Folishine Cat8 Ethernet Cable 25m, High Speed Flat Gigabit RJ45 Lan Network Cable, 40Gbps 2000Mhz Internet Patch Cord for Switch.
https://amzn.to/4hVGqRV

This connection is not needed but I have the camera a long way from its location to the modem so need an extension lead. This is going through a pipe in the ground to the camera.

CAMERA POWER

P-Link 802.3at/af Gigabit PoE Injector , Non-PoE to PoE Adapter, supplies up to 15.4W, LED Indicator,Plug & Play.
https://amzn.to/3YLfbjU

This is needed to send power to the camera from the modem.

INTERNET

TP-Link AC1200 Mbps 4G+ Cat6 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router, 4G Network Nano SIM Slot Unlocked, with MU-MIMO technology, No Configuration required, UK Plug.
https://amzn.to/3YVJvcZ

Mobile internet, you need to get a data SIM card to slot in the back, this costs me £20 a month. This device needs to be plugged into a mains supply.
