RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show is no more

The RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show is no more, it has been renamed RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival.

The 2019 festival runs from July 2 until 7 in the ground of Hampton Court Palace in East Molesey, Surrey. For tickets visit https://www.rhs.org.uk/shows-events

Nearest train station: Hampton Court from London Waterloo, journey time approximately 35 minutes.

  1. This year I have decided not to renew my RHS membership. I have found their shows turning more and more into showing off the effect builders can have on a plot of land rather than actual gardeners. Too much stonework and architectural frippery for me. I have been to them all more than once so I make my judgement based on the changes I have seen over the years. But then again I am a vegetable gardener first and foremost so I may be in the minority. Though I do like the look of a classic cottage garden, full of colour with a hint of careful neglect that probably took a lifetime of work to achieve.

  2. I have just cancelled my RHS membership too, no gardens local to me and the shows are simply too big to enjoy. I joined National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardeners instead. I shall miss the RHS magazine but it’s often in the doctors surgery…
